    Work Schedule:         10:30AM – 7:15PM –weekends required          

    Salary Range:            Commensurate with Experience ($15.00 per hour)

    Travel:                        10 – 25%

    Facilities Maintenance Technician Role

    We are seeking a Customer Service Maintenance/Warehouse Technician with vast knowledge of different facilities maintenance functional role. The qualified candidate will also have a proven successful track record in facilities maintenance role handling the day-to-day repairs, janitorial and maintenance work in office premises and building. The open position is a permanent full-time position working with an opportunity for advancement with one of the leading providers of self-storage in the United States. 


    Key Essential Functions & Area of Responsibilities

    The Facilities Customer Service Maintenance Technician will be responsible for 5-10 properties to perform the following maintenance duties and area of responsibilities:

     

    • Available to go off site for tenant moves
    • Perform repairs and maintenance work in office premises and building
    • Perform minor electrical such as replacing light bulbs, ballasts, fixtures, timers and switches
    • Repair swing doors, roll-up doors, latches and hasps (locking mechanism)
    • Perform minor plumbing such as toilet, faucet, garbage disposal repairs
    • Daily janitorial and cleaning duties
    • Assist in other facilities duties as assigned
    • Regular worksite attendance in accordance with Company’s Attendance Policy is required for this position
    • Other Duties As Assigned
      • Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements
      • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines

     

    Qualification Requirements          

    • Possess a valid Driver’s License in the State of Employment
    • Have a knowledge of different maintenance equipment and tools
    • Previous experience in maintenance required
    • Team player and can collaborate with other departments in the organization
    • Ability to deal effectively with co-workers, property manager, company personnel, and other consultants/ vendors
    • Ability to work flexible hours depending on various Facilities project deadlines

    Education

    • High School required, some College is a plus

    Physical Demands

    • Stationary Position: frequently remains mobile up to 90% of the time walking up to 3 miles per day and in stationary position (i.e. sitting) up to 1 hours per day
    • Move/Traverse: frequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk
    • Carry Weight: frequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 5-50 pounds
    • Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
    • Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
